Get up close and personal with an artist and his work!

Gallery Walk + Talk events are intimate tours designed to help you navigate the many concepts, methods, materials and ideas that artists incorporate into their work. Join the conversation by taking a tour that engages directly with works of art in the gallery led by the artist himself, Steve Vaccariello. Steve approaches the medium of photography in his own unique, highly-skilled and creative way. He’ll provide a personal context to his artwork, sharing his creative inspiration and his particular fascination with capturing dancers on film.

All Gallery Walk + Talk events are free, however, an RSVP to gallery@sopacnow.org is strongly encouraged.

In JUST DANCE…, Vaccariello’s vivid and sensual portraits capture an unbridled creativity; a guileless exchange of artistic expression between two masters, each on either side of the camera lens. Vaccariello’s direction is simple and straightforward, “Just dance…” Then, on film, he immortalized their liberated collaboration; a visual and a performance artist breaking free to bestow an inspired vision of beauty.

“Photography isn’t what I do,” says Vaccariello, “It’s what I am.”
