The Ladies of Laughter Funny & Fabulous Tour includes winners and the best talent from the Ladies of Laughter annual national competition.

What started out as an annual videotape comedy competition in New York to honor comedian Mary Jo Wobker, who helped so many other female comedians break into the stand-up world, has expanded to comedy clubs and venues around the tri-state area, including Atlantic City casinos, Caesars, Madison Square Garden, and now SOPAC!

Now known as “The Careerbuilder for Women in Comedy,” Ladies of Laughter boasts a roster of former competition participants that includes Amy Schumer, Tammy Pescatelli, and Big Bang Theory star Melissa Rauch, among many others. In 2018, Carol Burnett accepted the first ever “Ladies of Laughter Spirit Award” established to honor those women who have inspired others to enter the competitive field of comedy.

This performance features acclaimed comics Liz Glazer, GL Douglas, Nancy O’Connor & Becky Veduccio!

Meet the Comics

Liz Glazer

Liz Glazer has received a feature story in the Wall Street Journal (as well as in Above the LawLex Magazine, the Pennsylvania Gazette, and other publications), and has opened for Myq Kaplan and Maria Bamford. She also appeared as part of the Seattle International Comedy Competition.  As an actor, Liz has appeared on ABC’s “For Life” and CBS’s “Bull,” and serves on the faculty at Lesly Kahn & Co., the Los Angeles acting studio. A former tenured law professor, Liz performs regularly at comedy clubs, festivals, and law schools. She also travels extensively as part of the Ladies of Laughter Funny & Fabulous tour that visits historic theaters nationwide annually.

GL Douglas

GL Douglas wowed the audience and judges when she won the NJ preliminary in the Professional category at SOPAC this past summer. Find her shooting short films, dishing out laughs around the country at comedy shows and competitions — including at The Improv, New York Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, Apollo Theatre, colleges and universities, churches, company functions, (and, admittedly, birthday party barbecues) — acting in plays, performing on live television, hosting a comedy showcase, or doing her thing on YouTube. (Gotta admit, this gal works hard…) Now added to her resume: GL’s adventure on the VH1 hit reality show Money Hungry.

Nancy O’Connor

Nancy O’Connor is a New York-based stand-up comic who has performed internationally. She can be found on her socials at @nancyknowsnothing, sharing adventures with her 90-year-old roommate. She won the LOL NJ preliminary this summer as a newcomer and now performs with the Ladies of Laughter Funny & Fabulous national tour.

Becky Veduccio

Becky Veduccio is also an award-winning writer and accomplished actor. In addition to receiving training at Upright Citizens Brigade, The Groundlings, The Magnet Theater and Improvolution, she has acted opposite Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, and other Hollywood icons. During her 15 years in the business she’s performed internationally, from London’s West End Theater to Los Angeles. As a writer, Becky received a New York Press Club Award for humorous writing and received recognition as one of Parenting.com’s “Fave Mommy Bloggers.” Becky has consulted on scripts for Anthony Minghella, Ralph Fiennes, and Kristin Scott Thomas. Through her ability to write a joke on any topic and “punch up” material, she’s known on the comedy scene as the “Joke Fluffer,” consulting with comedians to improve their stand-up sets. As a comedy instructor, she has taught countless students, ranging from elementary through high school to university students and adults.
