A north Jersey native, Julie Galorenzo grew up performing in musicals all over the state. Actually, that’s not true…she grew up performing in musicals in select areas of Essex and Passaic counties. You may have seen her right here at SOPAC starring as Mrs. Lovett in Light Opera of New Jersey’s production of Sweeney Todd! Or you may have seen her in one of her many “kooky sidekick” roles all over the country (from Washington, D.C to New Hampshire, and as far west as Idaho and Arizona). Or maybe you saw her perform on Broadway (the street) or the West End (avenue)…but also maybe you understandably missed those shows.
Whatever show you may have seen her in or not in the past, she’s coming to South Orange to trod the boards of The Loft at SOPAC! Joining the stellar list of Cabaret in the Loft alumni, Galorenzo will bring you a night of music from the Musical Theatre canon and some of her favorite Pop songs in an effort to continue her climb to fame…fame that, so far, has reached TikTok and that’s about it. There will be lots of laughs and hopefully a tear or two from her mom.
