Columbia High School 2025 AP Art Showcase

On Display – March 19th – April 26th

The Columbia High School (CHS) Advanced Placement (AP) Art Showcase returns to the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) from March 19 to April 26, 2025. This annual exhibition provides CHS students with the opportunity to present their work in a professional gallery setting, showcasing their creativity and skill. The diverse collection of artwork—ranging from paintings and sculptures to digital media—reflects the impressive talents of students in the AP Art program.

Under the guidance of CHS Visual Arts Teacher Alexandra Cappucci, the students have worked tirelessly throughout the year to develop their pieces. Cappucci has been a dedicated mentor, encouraging her students to explore their artistic potential and push the boundaries of their craft. Her commitment to her students’ growth is evident in the caliber of the work displayed in this exhibition, offering a platform for students to share their creative voices and gain recognition in the local arts community.

SOPAC’s Arts in Education (AIE) programs have long supported student artists by providing immersive learning experiences and professional exposure. The AP Art Showcase continues this tradition, allowing students to connect with the public and receive feedback in a respected venue. This year’s exhibition builds on the success of last year’s event and promises to be an inspiring celebration of student talent, creativity, and community engagement.
