Parking
Parking can sometimes be a challenge in the heart of any lively
community, no matter how large or small. Just think about how many
blocks you have to walk when you see a Broadway show in Manhattan. South
Orange is fortunate to have over 400 parking spots available within two
blocks of SOPAC. All lots are free after 6PM on weekdays and all day
Saturday and Sunday.
We recognize that parking is more difficult
on Friday and Saturday nights and offer the following suggestions:
The
best parking options are:
- South Orange Middle School Parking Lot
- The 250-car commuter lot on Third Street behind the South Orange Rescue Squad
- The 265-car New Jersey Commuter lot adjacent to SOPAC
- South Orange Public Library Lot
On
Friday and Saturday nights we recommend that you proceed directly to
these lots, less than a five-minute walk from SOPAC:
- South Orange Middle School Parking Lot
- The 250-car commuter lot on Third Street behind the South Orange Rescue Squad
Small lots on South Orange Avenue, First
Street and Sloan Street are usually filled early by local restaurant
patrons and are not recommended for SOPAC parking.
