The PUFF! Quintet continues the Juilliard @ SOPAC series, exploring the sounds of the woodwind quintet through the music of Barber, Ravel and Reicha. As a five-year student ensemble in-residence at Juilliard, the ensemble dedicates itself to creating exciting performances that introduce audiences to the world of quintet music. Each of the students in the quintet posses diverse talents that combine to create this outstanding ensemble whose performances both inside and outside of the Juilliard community have garnered them international attention. The winners of the 2009 J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition, the PUFF! Quintet was also the only wind group in the 2009 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition finals.
This is a not-to-be missed installment in the Juilliard series, with exceptional music sure to open your mind to a broader range of stunning classical music.
